Rather than lovers of God
With Bibles sitting on their shelves
Traveling the road wide and broad
Truth has been lost, love has turned cold
Trusting our own strength and facade
America chooses bronze over gold
From her calling she turns away
In blatant sin we remain so bold
Can we see we have wandered astray
Once again dig up the ancient wells
While we race fast towards judgment day
Will we learn what our history tells
Wake up America, lovers of themselves
