Ears to Hear
Do we hear what we want to hear?
Do we create our own messes?
Do we listen to our own fears?Â
He who has ears let him hear
Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses
We must throw off all that hinders
We can see clearly without guessesÂ
He who has ears let him hearÂ
Today our skin appears to be thinnerÂ
A seared conscience believes a lie
With many today the light grows dimmerÂ
He who has ears let him hearÂ
In the wasteland under the desert sky
In the hard place of transitioningÂ
But by His Word we will not dieÂ
He who has ears let him hearÂ
The Spirit will move us with a quickeningÂ
He turns the wasteland into pools of waterÂ
May we choose in our hearts to be listeningÂ
He who has ears let him hearÂ
In the desert we will become strongerÂ
Only tune in on that sandy road
In that place we must build an altar
He who has ears let him hearÂ
In your fire He will change it to goldÂ
If we only submit to His willÂ
It's up to us what story will be toldÂ
He who has ears let him hearÂ
