Hebrews 12:16-"lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright."
In our battles we must not lose sight
For one single meal Esau sold his birthright
Though he sought it diligently with tears
He was given over to his own fears
Esau gave it all up for a bowl of stew
The lust of the flesh he only knew
He lived his life as a wanderer
Distant from God that is for sure
You can find an Esau today if you search
You can even find Esaus in the church
Giving up the greater for the lesser
Succumbing to the earthly pleasure
Esau truly missed his purpose in life
Because he lost in his flesh fight
And will we press forward or will we withdraw?
Will we overcome or just be an Esau?
