Only Two Out of the Twelve
(Numbers 13)
Only two out of twelve spies believedÂ
Of the other ten God was grievedÂ
Ten out of twelve only saw giantsÂ
Depending on their own self relianceÂ
Unbelief kept them from the promised landÂ
God's power they did not understandÂ
Unbelief in our hearts can hinder usÂ
It can sadly lengthen our wildernessÂ
Israel gave themselves over to their fearsÂ
Eleven days became forty long yearsÂ
Though they carried the cluster of grapes
Negative words became their mistakeÂ
Even today there remains a divisionÂ
Between the Spirit led and those who choose religion
Will we listen intently to where this applies?
Will we be like the two believing spies?Â
