The Tide

The tide proceeds into the sea

Of waves, of ebb, of current flow

The waves they crash at His decree

Of surge, of swells, and undertow

In the waves roar a song is key

That refrain keeps us from below

Ride the tide and we will be free

His course, His purpose we will agree

The turns, the shifts, the winds we know

Move from ruts and keep from plateau

Though comfort is no guarantee

We ride by faith into the sea
