Weary in the Waiting

Why do we worry

When God doesn't hurry

In our life when we scurry

The Almighty God, miracles He can create

But He gives us a word and then makes us wait

There is a theory

When life gets dreary

And we get weary

He has not misled us in what we have heard

But He causes us to go through the death of a word

In that time of death

When we can't feel His breath

He's working a depth

His promise to you may be delayed

But He hasn't ignored you when you've prayed

He builds our faith

When He hides His face

And we can't sense His grace

We can't be discouraged at any length

Still the joy of the Lord is our strength

In your waiting

New things He's creating

And your test He's grading

He sees your heart and knows your desire

He will walk with you right through the fire
