Your Personal Psalm 143

I have read the words of Psalm 143 over and over in my life. If you are going through a trial make it your personal prayer and know that God hears you like He heard David back then.

Psalm 143:3-4, "For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead. Therefore, my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is distressed."

Verses 7-8 "Answer me speedily,  O Lord my spirit fails! Do not hide your face from me, lest I be like those who go down into the pit. Cause me to hear your lovingkindness in the morning. For in you do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you."

I speak to you and I speak to me

Through the violent waters of the sea

Is a personal Psalm 143

When all in our life is helter skelter

In the fires of the burning smelter

Jesus' mercy is still our shelter

Raging fires may be all around

From heaven there may not be a sound

The enemy may crush us to the ground

David desperately cried and confessed

"Lord, my heart within me is distressed"

As in the devil's vice he was pressed

God will sustain us and keep us alive

You will overcome and you will survive

The overwhelmed hearts He will revive

You may think it won't happen to me

But if it does and you look up and plea

Know He hears your own Psalm 143
