Now that I am an empty nester
It seems I can now act as an investor
I'm living big and I'm living high
Keep reading and I will tell you why
The kids are gone, they have gone their way
Now I can visit Starbucks two times a day
The baristas there now know my name
But they don't know the empty nester I became
They can charge me $7 for that drink
But about the price I don't even think
Maybe those workers see some red flags
Because now it looks like I am Mr. Money Bags
I can order anything on the menu without a doubt
It is all because my kids moved out
I walk in with my sunglasses and order a bagel
Then I walk with swag and go sit down at the table
I can't buy a rolex or a lamborghini
But I can get a latte and I can even buy a beanie
Starbucks Starbright first Starbucks I see tonight
They see my confidence at first sight
When the kids go back for their first semester
I will be living it up as an empty nester
I will nod my head again at the confused barista
Just add an extra shot and put it on my visa
