Ezekiel 4:9,12 "Also, take for yourself wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread of them.
And you shall eat it as barley cakes and bake it using fuel of human waste in their sight."
God's call to Ezekiel
His strange way to fame
It definitely was not easy
Though "eze" was in his name
Called to lie down on his side
Not to stand on his feet
He was to take beans and lentils
Millet, spelt and wheat
He took these ingredients
Here is what God had said
Mix them up in a bowl
Then make it into some bread
Of flavors and spice
This meal was bereft
Ezekiel would not win
Baking this on Master Chef
It didn't sound too bad though
It might be good to taste
But then God added one thing
"Cook it over human waste"
Ezekiel said, "Now hold on God
I think the bread part was cool
But I have never eaten anything
Cooked over human stool"
I would question my calling
I might even vomit
I think I might be tempted
To just go non prophet
But God was very merciful
To Ezekiel his son
God changed the baking instructions
From human to cow dung
Now please hear me out
I don't want to sound like an ogre
I know they sell Ezekiel bread
Over at Walmart and Kroger
With store bought Ezekiel bread
Of healthy sprouted grain
Can someone please help me?
Can someone please explain?
It just seems very unclear
I don't want to buy it in haste
I need to know if it was cooked
Over human or cow waste
Cinnamon raisin sounds good
I will throw a couple in my cart
I just can't ponder
About that manure baking part
I have a respect for Ezekiel
He was led as he was fed
He obeyed his prophetic calling
In eating Ezekiel bread
