When the thick clouds are gray
He will restore the years
All around us may be fears
In the molding of the clay
Our petitions God hears
In sorrow and in tears
There will dawn a new day

In the tempest God steers
He leads us in His way

When the calm disappears
The locusts come to stay
He will restore the years
Though the straight highway veers
Even in long delay
