And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand posts, maybe more People posting but not speaking Facebook hearing but not listening People writing posts that Facebook never shares And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence
Zuckerberg said I you do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Because soon my words will not reach you But my words like silent raindrops fall Echoed in the Facebook walls of silence
And the people bowed and prayed While every post Facebook weighed And the sign flashed out its warning What Mark Zuckerberg was forming Soon the words of the prophets will have to be written on the subway walls Or in bathroom stalls And whispered in the sounds of silence
